In the Seller's own words... Upon reaching the second floor from the secondary staircase, my hobby room is to the immediately right. Since my hobbies included use of sharp objects and messy materials, I wanted it to be away from the rest of the living area and, more specifically, my children. It just so happened that there is a little cut-out which I think would be perfect for putting in a closet should one ever decide to convert that into a guest room. A few more steps from the hobby room lead us to the second floor washer/dryer room, designed for the bulk of the laundry. The hallway also shares the exit to one of the outdoor balconies on the second floor. After all, if the person doing laundry downstairs has a nice view while waiting for that annoying dryer buzzer, why shouldn’t the person doing laundry upstairs have the same privilege? Having glass doors to the balcony also provided us with much needed natural lighting for an otherwise dreary hallway. The bowed balcony off the main staircase gives extra width for passing foot traffic so there wouldn’t be a jam if anyone decides to stop and admire the view down to the grand room, the backyard, the chandelier (lift-operated to facilitate maintenance), or the contemporary front entrance. After all, there is quite a lot to look at from up there..
